Biomechanical & Video Forensics
Expert reports for the legal profession.
Bill Bailey
Based in Sydney, Biomechanical and Digital Forensics provide engineering reports and digital graphic services primarily to the legal profession based on over 25 years specialized experience of the principals William Bailey (mechanical and biomedical engineer) and James Bailey (digital graphics expert).
Personal injuries are central to most liability claims and whilst clinical experts opine on medical areas, they often have limited sources of information regarding the actual ircumstances of the incident that is alleged to have resulted in injury, with the claimant often providing the only description. Biomechanics links the physical evidence of an incident to the forces that could, or could not, arise to cause injury whilst providing critical insight into the alleged causal relationship to both opining clinicians and Courts .
Biomechanical analysis
Biomechanical analysis examines the physical circumstances to understand:
How forces are generated and transferred to the human body;
How forces are transmitted within the body;
How forces Assess the likely nature and magnitude of forces and their potential relationship, or otherwise, to the tissue that is alleged to have been injured.
Review and summarize medical reports to assist a tribunal to reliably evaulate the identified pathology and the likely mechanical forces involved.
provides the critical link between objective injury data and the physical circumstances of the incident(s) being alleged to establish the allegfrom the clinicians provides insight based on reliable physical evidence (injuries) in addition to standard engineering considerations so that, when effectively communicated, the underlying etiology of harm can be reliably identified.
Video forensics
Modern evidence frequently includes graphic information from CCTV or equivalent and this can provide useful data on speed and event sequencing using evolving AI (artifical Intelligence) tecniques to improve clarity and conventional presentation skills to provide the client with visual evidence that:
form an effective gives key insight to the tribunal to the canstigations, analysis of incident dynamics to provide expert reports opining on injury causation.
